Ultraviolette Expands Two-Wheeler Lineup, Eyes New Market Segments and Global Expansion

Ultraviolette Automotive, the Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer known for the high-performance F77, is set to diversify its lineup over the next two years. The company plans to introduce three new electric motorcycles and a long-range scooter, aiming to compete with 150-300cc petrol bikes and expand into multiple two-wheeler categories by 2027.

Expanding Portfolio to Meet Evolving Demand
Ultraviolette has built its reputation on innovation, performance, and cutting-edge EV technology. The company’s expansion will leverage seven years of R&D experience, including advancements in battery technology, vehicle control systems, and motor development.
The upcoming motorcycles will cater to various riding needs, including an urban commuter and an adventure tourer.
The long-range electric scooter will be designed for city commuters, offering extended range options.
New models will be priced competitively, with the aim to bring more affordability to the electric two-wheeler segment.
According to Ultraviolette co-founders Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan, the company aims to position its portfolio at a more accessible price point compared to the premium F77, with future models expected to be priced under ₹2 lakh.
Ultraviolette Automotive, the Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer renowned for its high-performance F77 motorcycle, is embarking on a significant expansion of its two-wheeler lineup. Over the next three years, the company plans to introduce 12 new electric models, targeting diverse market segments and aiming for global reach. 
Diverse Product Platforms:
Ultraviolette's upcoming models will be structured across five distinct platforms:
F Series: Building upon the success of the F77, this series will feature a new performance-oriented motorcycle. 
S Series: This series will introduce two new electric scooters, marking Ultraviolette's entry into the scooter segment. 
L Series: Aimed at lightweight mobility, the L Series will include two models, with the 'Shockwave' being one of the anticipated offerings. 
X Series: Comprising three multi-terrain models, this series is designed for versatile riding experiences. 
B Series: Focused on long-range cruising, the B Series will feature two cruiser bikes, catering to riders seeking extended travel capabilities. 
Market Expansion and Sales Targets:
Ultraviolette aims to establish a robust market presence by expanding its operations to 30 cities within India. The company has set an ambitious target of achieving annual sales of 100,000 units over the next three to four years. 
Global Ambitions:
In addition to domestic growth, Ultraviolette is setting its sights on international markets. The company plans to launch its products in Europe, with the F77 MACH 2 having secured certification for European markets. The official European debut is scheduled at the EICMA 2024 in Milan, with an introductory price of €9,999. 
This strategic expansion reflects Ultraviolette's commitment to innovation and its vision to cater to a broad spectrum of riders, from urban commuters to long-distance travelers, both domestically and internationally.
